Pmdg 737 Question

Thu Jun 02, 2011 5:32 pm

Wonder if anyone can help me with a problem I've got with the PMDG 737NG for FS9.

I've got the 600/700 and the 800/900 bought as a package but on 2 seperate discs. My son has the 600/700 on his PC and I have the 800/900 on mine. I decided to load the 600/700 onto my machine. When I had done this the 738 would not load, it would appear in the menu but when selected it froze FS9. So I re-loaded the 800/900 disc and now the 600/700 are not loading.

With the PMDG 737 can you only have either the 600/700 or 800/900 and not both? Is there a way around this? Can't find anything on the PMDG website and they've discontinued e-mail support.

Yes you can use both. Uninstall both. Then reinstall each one and be sure to update each edition separately before installing the next edition.

I also have both on my PC and they work just fine.
Check the installation manual, PMDG comes with pretty good manual. Also, I just had 1 CD for both 600/700 and 800/900.

And it is frankly amazing what they've done with that. It's a giant quantum leap from the B747-400X and the MD-11 (both of them FSX). The sound quality is incredible, really real - it sounds exactly like the real thing - and the lighting quality and night is unbelievable. The HUD as well is remarkable.

I cannot wait for that plane to be released. It will surely become the "must have" plane" for everyone. Paint me one in Yananyi Dreaming colours, or I'll paint it myself and I'll be content to fly SYD-MEL, SYD-BNE, BNE-TSV and back the whole time.

I know. I have been following progress this year, stopped completly with FS last year due to some changes in my life, but the PMDG NGX looks absolute amazing. I am looking forward to its release later this year.
