Locating Aircraft Folder In FSX

Sun Dec 04, 2011 12:48 am

I am having some difficulties locating the "Aircraft" folder in FSX using Microsoft Windows 7. What shortcuts can I use to locate it? I have tried system searches and nothing seems to be coming up.

Thanks,

SuperBus

It's called Airplanes in FSX and it's in the SimObjects folder of your main FSX folder, i.e.

Microsoft Flight Simulator X -> SimObjects -> Airplanes

To make it more precise: FSX can have many aircraft folders. Where they are you define in your user fsx.cfg file, there you add lines simobject=.... and then this is known to FSX.

I would not install any addon aircraft that is not aware of this to FSX unless you are a developper yourself and know what you are doing - it is likely to cause problems and will perform bad.
