Apparently, they have decided for DC-6 because they wanted to do something for themselves in developers free time, not because of commercial reasons.
I think they also said that DC-6 would be way easier to make than a bizjet, which would be about the same amount of work as any current airliner (which make more sales, thus more sense commercially), but I agree that a nice large-cabin bizjet would be good thing to have. I would like it to be a C680, but who am I to decide.
also as far as Gulfstream goes, they are apparently for some reason very much against having their airplanes modelled in sim and threaten lawsuits to add-on makers... go figure.
