In my free time I like to model airplanes and then render them quickly (not much details, not photo realistic) in various colors. Sometimes is just out of curiosity what would such and such plane look like with different engines, tail, etc. Sometimes is just totally unusual shapes, which perhaps would not even fly....
I have literally thousand of these and was thinking to put them on a site somewhere so perhaps there is someone else who will enjoy them as much as i do, otherwise I am being selfish Just a quick pix here, so the thread is not just links:
|787 MAS Rendering|
Anyway, instead of posting all over the place, wanted to create this little thread, which I will update from time to time with a link to a new page when I upload new images and keep it up for reference, all in one place.
737 - E Concept. The "E" is just a letter with no particular meaning. Maybe Evolution, but it was more of just adding something to differentiate this from other concepts. This is quite recent one. It was just a quick experiment to see how would the slick 787 body look with the 737 engines and slightly different wing tips. here is a link to it (2 pages). click on each picture to enlarge and then click again to close the enlargement:
777 - E concept. Pretty much the same plane, but it has the new style 787 engines (rear details more than anything else) and slight winglets, just aesthetics. also the tail is different. Here is a link to the 2 pages:
787 - this one was modeled long time ago, before the actual plane was made, just from looking at speculations on the internet. It was so pretty (the shapes of it) and there were no pictures available from all angles, so I wanted to have it in 3D as to spin it around and enjoy it from different angles. Recently re-render it with some newer colors. here is a link for the 2 pages:
If you wonder why in those specific colors, there is nothing specific, I just don't have too much time and was looking for easy to reproduce and map graphics. Trying to keep it from all over the world, not to be biased Will update this thread from time to time with new pages as I find time to put together and upload specific models.
Hope someone else can get a kick too. It is quite interesting if you have a projector, hook it your computer and project these on a big white wall somewhere!
