Nice quiz. You should put some different airports in the options for some of the answers though - if the options are the really famous ones (SXM, Kai Tak, St Barts etc) but the picture isn't one of those, it's obvious which one the answer is.

Keep it up!

Well, there is this one question...

You give options ERJ-170 and EMB-135, which is, obviously, wrong.

Nice quizzes! The first one sure helped me learn about/recognize different airport approaches! For me, the hardest part was identifying the differences between the Boeing 727-200 and the Tupelov TU-154M since I am unfamiliar with Tupelov aircraft.

That is true, but airliners.net list one aircraft as ERJ-170 instead of E170 (http://www.airliners.net/aircraft-data/stats.main?id=406).

jaylink, for future reference, the correct designations for the Embraer series are EMB120, ERJ-135/140/145, and E-170/175/190/185. The E-170/175/190/195 series is considered a "hybrid" between the traditional RJ and the mainline fleet (primarily because of the number of passengers the aircraft can carry but also because they look more like some mainline aircraft- think mini 737), which is why I think the series doesn't use the ERJ designation. Keep in mind that some airlines, such as US and AC use the E-190/195 as part of their mainline fleet. The upcoming Bombardier C-Series is also a "hybrid" RJ. Overall though I love the quizzes!

I laughed pretty hard at the option of Aspen/Pitkin County for question #6 - Aspen with beaches!? I'm still chuckling.

I enjoyed the quizes (and aced both). Thank you.

I didn't try the Extreme Approaches one because I only knew one, and that was Kai Tak.

I seriously need to get out more, meaning do more travelling abroad. Big grin

The second quiz I got 90%.    I got the A330 wrong, and I have flown on that type .. it was over 20 years ago and I haven't seen one for a while - no excuses though.

Thanks, great idea. =

PS. I also did the Airline Logo Quiz - and got 100%.

Got 100% in both! (logic & geografy aided in appr. quiz  )

I think you should add some difficulty in airliners quiz by adding ambiguous answers like A340 300 or 600, B737 200 or 700 , DC9 or tu134.... loved the graphics in this quiz, they are detailed enough to allow more difficult questions!
