After over a year and a half of translating and editing, I'm proud to present to Airliners.net and the rest of the aviation enthusiast community with a film that showcases the final days of one of the greatest airlines in the world.
Not available in Germany because of music content blocked by GEMA (German organisation of performance rights)
I deeply hate GEMA. They block almost everything on youtube that is freely available in many other countries
Very interesting film, I never really understood the full story behind Swissair's collapse as I was still in school when it happened but this cleared things up a bit. I'm not entirely sure who is behind the making of the film but it does seem a little one sided, it paints Mario Corti in a very good light as a CEO desperate to save Swissair, for the pride of Switzerland and for the employees while Crossair and the banks are definitely seen as the villains in this story. How accurate that is, I can't say.
I liked the dark tone of the film as well, the panic and desperation towards the end is really well captured by the actors. When the time came I really felt sorry for everyone involved in the airline, that's why I liked the personal stories which were included, it added some emotion.
Thanks Independence76 for all your hard work, great job!
