NW 727 1/400 In Delivery Scheme

Tue Jul 30, 2013 4:18 pm

Does anyone know if a 1/400 model of an NW 727 in the delivery scheme exists? I've done several searches but I can only turn up the 70's Northwest Orient Scheme on a 727 in 1/400.

Don't think so.

Rare liveries are very hard to come by, if there is one out their, expect to pay 3 times MSRP at a minimum.

Di-cast model airliners are a small niche and the 1:400 scale is a niche of that niche, not every livery will be portrayed and any 'one of a kinds' will be in exclusive one off batches.

Off shot, contact all the 1:400 manufacturers that make 727's and inquire about it, make sure to include pics. If they say they've never had it in catalog, offer to pay a truly insane amount on a custom just for you (they'll likely say no, but couldn't hurt.)

DA.C has a great search database (powered by Wings 900). I suggest you search there.

The model doesn't exist - it's been one I've been waiting/hoping on a release forever. Aeroclassics is about the only company that'd ever be likely to make it.

1/400 NW 727's exist in the solid redtail Northwest Orient scheme, as well as the bowling shoe. None in the "DB Cooper" scheme though.
