Preferred Joystick For Simulation Use?

I have an old Saitek Aviator stick and I was planning on buying a new HOTAS one.

I have my eyes on Thrustmaster's Warthog but it seems a bit expensive. Is it worth it? Are there better alternatives with more bang for the buck out there?

I'm mostly using VRS Superbug for FSX and Falcon 4.0 BMS.

I guess the question is how serious are you? If you enjoy simming enough to justify a $400+ joystick, then yeah, the HOTAS is one of the best on the market.

I've used the one I have for years. Logitech something or other. Has never put a foot wrong. I've been playing more often recently so I may invest in something more expensive soon. I'll let you know.
