US Airport 'ARRIVALS' Signage

Thu Dec 12, 2013 12:39 am

A friend of mine is working on a photography project and has asked for my assistance in locating specific 'ARRIVALS' signage within US airport terminals. These signs are fairly common internationally (especially Europe) however in the US they typically say 'BAGGAGE CLAIM' or something similar. In order for his work to make any sense, the signage would need to say 'ARRIVALS'. Secure/SIDA access would generally not be a concern. Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Does the signage have to be inside the terminal? I'm thinking that a common use for ARRIVALS would be outside on the roadways, particularly at airports like LAX that direct cars with passengers for departing flights to the upper level and cars picking up arriving passengers to the lower level.

Another possibility might be for signs inside the terminal for INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS. They might no be directing the arriving passengers themselves, but rather people looking to meet people arriving on international flights.
