World Airline Historical Society

Sun Dec 29, 2013 6:25 am

Hi everybody,

I have seen various threads on this topic, but I could not find one that asks my questions, but I apologize if I missed it. Is the World Airline Historical Society worth joining if I do not built models or have a large collection of models? In addition, are there any organizations that are for enthusiasts or that are for present day aviation in general and not specifically for models?

Thank you,

The Wings Club is the foremost fraternity....www.wingsclub.org. The WAHS is also good, and its not just about collecting models, it's about airline history in general. Both are probably the best associations for airline/aerospace history.

I would argue that WAHS needs to focus on "airline history in general." Right now they're exclusively about collecting memorabilia. It's discussed in this thread: Musings On The World Airline Historical Society (by psa188 Jan 8 2015 in Aviation Hobby) .
