How to make an aviation Video ?

Fri Apr 21, 2017 12:12 pm

Hello guys,
I plan to make an aviation video recently and this video will include some Taxi , landing , takeoff , start engines , enter runways footages . But i thinking take videos is not the difficult things for me , the most difficult thing is how to edit it after taking them. And i think i can add some music. Do you guys know how to edit it ? Hope can hear from you ~ ;)
Thank you for your time ! :D

Cheers,
Harry

I think I know how to edit a video, but I'm by no means a pro. Over the years I've learned a thing or 2 about video editing which I've tried to incorporate in my videos. It's a pretty broad question to ask if someone knows how to edit a video, but a couple of my tips would be:
- keep the clips short
- don't make the total video too long or viewers might lose focus.
- pick the right music to the footage. Sometimes it can take me weeks to finally find a good track. Sometimes very frustrating to say the least.

Most of my stuff is non-aviation, but you can find my editing style/vids here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCImDAe ... VlKqmWqh1w
(yes, a shameless plug :cool2: )

If BGM means background music, I usually search on YouTube.

Great videos! I don't have the patience to edit videos but have high admiration for those who do!

I'm sure there are several programs out there that will do the trick, but I use Adobe Premiere Pro.

Here's one I did for BA a few years ago, it was edited using Casablanca Bogart for Windows, a powerful but easy to learn edit package. I'm a BBC cameraman by day and have worked in broadcast tv for nearly 25 years.
