recently I had several old slides professionally scanned. They came back as 42 MB TIF files in a 4800 x 3075 size but still need some optimization. The pictures are quite grainy, could need more contrast and some sharpening and maybe something else.
Unfortunately, as I am quite new to processing so I have no idea how to optimize the pictures in the best way. Especially I don't know the best sequence of the steps.
I use the Olympus Viewer 3 which can also process TIF files. Can you give me some general directions on how to process the files?
And while we're at it: Can you tell me where I made the pictures? They must have been taken in the US, either in BOS, EWR, ORD, PDX or SEA. I'm guessing it's EWR.

Thanks a lot in advance
Bart
