Copyright Issues For Museum Photos

If you take photo in museum, are you free to sell and publish it or you have to pay museum first?
When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward...

In most cases you cannot sell pictures from a museum without obtaining the museums permission. The conditions undr which you can take/use pictures are normally set out in the admissions brochure, or on posters. If in doubt ask. Terms vary between museums. I am aware of one major UK Museum which has demanded images be removed from a web site.
