New Fuji Film, Iso 100-1000?

Sun Oct 01, 2000 1:13 am

Yesterday i was dropping off some film at my camera shop and the guys showed me a new fuji film that is 100-1000 iso (you can set your camera to any of those iso settings and, supposedly, get excellent results)
Well, ive never used fuji before but this peaked my curiosity so (thursday was payday so i was feeling rich) i shelled out $11 for one roll of it (its supposed to be $13/roll but im a regular so they gave me a break  )

Hopefully i can make it up to ORD later today and try this film out. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this film or used it, and what your opinions, if any, are about it...

THANKS!

CHRIS

I'm assuming you're talking about the Fuji MS100-1000 (codename RMS) slide film. If so, then this film has actually been around for a couple of years. I've used a few rolls of them, setting them at 400 ISO. I've never tried pushing it as hard as 1000 ISO, but anyway it worked very well at 400. Don't forget to tell the film developer which ISO setting you used, as there are some small differences in the development process for different ISO settings.

You paid 11 bucks for one roll??????? Holy sh*t!!!

Yeah I've used this film (at least an older version of this film) a few times in the late 80s, with only so-so results.
