This question goes out to all of you 70-300mm lense users. Or 300mm in general, anything thats longer than usual. Usually about how far away and how much zoom do you use on your pics? B/c I've always been told as a rule of thumb not to use more than ehh 200mm for shots such as taxi shots and approach shots, or they will come out blurry. My 70-300mm is 4.5-5.6 speed and I rarely ever use it for anything moving because no matter what it comes out blurry. I try to keep it as still as possible because I know thats one main cause to blurry pictures. It just seems to me that theres no point in getting a long zoom lense if you cant get close to the planes due to the fact that if you use to much lense then the quality goes down. Maybee I just need a faster high quality 300mm lense??? which equals $$$$ heh heh just please try to explain to me how to get great pictures with a 300mm lense using more than 160mm which I could just use with a smaller lense..if its possible.
Thanks a million,
