Spotting At Phuket

Mon Jan 01, 2001 2:09 am

I have a few questions about spotting at Phuket/Thailand:

- What kind of RWY-system does this airport have?
- Where are the best places to take photos?
- Is the light better in the morning or in the evening?

Thank you for your help.

I had quite a nice time spotting in Phuket this summer. I really wasn't taking pictures. I arrived on PG from Samui and was leaving with Thai to Bangkok. I had a 3-4 hours. Go to the departures level. Exit and go right. It is difficult to describe. Just try and follow the perimetre fence. There is airport security but they won't bother you. After about 10 minutes you will come to a nice spot near the sea. I think there is also a spot if you go the other way. Left from the airport terminal building. You must walk along a road for about 2 miles.

Email me if you have any questions!
