Photographs; What's Important To You?

Thu Jan 04, 2001 3:37 am

I am curious as to what everyone think's essential in a good quality photograph. Does it have to be a ramp shot, perhaps an "action" shot, or maybe a front view.

I'm interested to know what everyone thinks, in order to obtain a clear set of guidelines with regard to what's hot, and what's not.

For me the most important is to shot for myself, take pictures that I like in the way I want. This can be achieved using many different subjects, compositions, light conditions, different settings, etc.

Later, if other people like my photos, that's good but not essential for me.

This was covered under the topic "The Perfect Shot?"
I'd suggest you read the posts there, some great information.

I like a good shot that shows the whole plane and maybe if possible how big it is. I also think that developing plays a big role and I also go for photos that got a good job done when it came to the "creation" of them.

If it feels good while it's happening - chances are - the results will be favorable - especially if you are in the right place - with the right equipment.
That's all I have to say -
I hope I didn't say "too much"...

Uhhh - well... I think aviation photos are like many things in life - uhh - well - anyway what I mean to say is when you're in the "groove" you can tell - ya know what I mean ? Sometimes - after the fact - the film may say otherwise - but usually - you know when it is good - eh' ?
