Spotting At Sydney International

Sat Jan 06, 2001 11:58 pm

On Sunday, Febuary 18, I'll be returning from the Avalon Airshow, and I'm due to have a 2hr 15min stopover in SYD. I was just wondering what international airliners I might be able to see and get photos of while I'm there. I'm also keen on finding out if there are any good vantage points for photos in close proximity to, or in, the Qantas domestic terminal.

I'm due to arrive from MEL at 3:20pm, and the connecting flight to BNE and TSV departs at 5:05pm. Are there any arrivals or departures from foreign airlines during this time?

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.

you might want to check out this link

and contact either Craig Murray or Frank Schaefer.
These guys can probably give you the best info about SYD.

At that time of day alot of International departures go out incl. 2 x BA a few QF 744's, Malaysia 744, Singapore 744 and a few more but from the QF Dom terminal you will be shooting against the sun, you would need to get to the other side of the runway to get decent shots which in 2hrs is just not going to be possible as you could possibly miss your flight!

Need any more info drop me a line.
