Reflection In A Puddle

Sat Mar 03, 2001 1:53 am

Tried to be creative the other day and find surface water to reflect in a photograph.

I managed this one of a Eastern Airways Jetstream.

Has anyone else done some experimenting with reflection photography?

I have afew simmilar pictures, but they didn't turn out like this intentionally (sp?). I won't upload any though, cause they turned out a bit grey and blurry.

But I like your photo Colin.  Big thumbs up

Nice shot Colin!

This one stayed as my wallpaper for ages. Wish I could get on the tarmac for these kind of shots.

Now guys that one rocks!

What a shot. Well done Dietmar

I guess its just your luck, personally for me its always raining at my home airport so these shots shouldn't be that difficult.

Also liked the L1011 ATA very much Mike

Princess Juiliana airport cuz its soo close to the ocean.. Smile
Now THAT WOULD BE REALLY NICE!

Great Shots Guys!

Its good to be creative now and then.

I liked the Air Canada pictures.

I guess you got to be there at the correct time. The last thing you need is your camera getting wet!

Most cameras are splash proof but you go to take a risk now and then for "That Shot"

I like reflection shots... in moderation. They're nice novelties from time to time, but shouldn't be overdone.

I tried my best, but the water wasn't still enough for a perfect reflection.

Ah, how many times I've missed shots like these because I didn't bring my camera (can't shoot in the rain anyways, right? haha)

But, here is my contribution...

I remember the LOT 737 shot well. Standing in the rain with only a shirt on (trousers as well!) I hid the camera under my shirt until it moved into position. I did get a few funny looks  Smile

Hi Jan

How did you get so close to the ground without getting wet?

Do you rest the camera on something or was it at the edge of the pool?

Hi Gary,
I just lay flat on the ground, just outside the puddle.

I have a great one of a NAC 727 930FT that I haven't downloaded. I don't think it will get acepted because of the fact it is a white aircraft on a white background.

But here are a couple that I did get on the site.
