Whats up? Are you looking for a film/slide scanner or a flatbed ? If you are hoping to buy a film scanner in that price range, then ther a few options.

1 Canon Canonscan FS2710 $480.00
2 Minolta Scan Dual II $460.00
3 HP S20 Photosmart $470.00

These 3 are avaliable from B&H in NY. Don't ask me which is the best, as I am using an older Scan Dual from Minolta, I am currently waiting for my Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 ED to show up.
