Spotting At MSP

Mon Apr 09, 2001 3:01 pm

I'm going to be passing through MSP twice during the first week of May. Each time, i'll have a 3 hour layover, so I'll have a little bit of time to spend spotting. I am totally unfamiliar with MSP, so if anybody has any recommendations as to where to spot from without leaving the airport, (parking structures, observation decks, etc.) I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
Steve

The top level of the parking garage offers a good view of the terminal area as well as both runways (one on one side and one on the other).

I was there during December and spent a little while out there but it was a bit cold. Hope to go back sometime in the summer.

Northwest has an indoor observation room in Concourse D I believe. (Near gate D1) Be prepared for handprints all over the windows though...and the windows are tinted.

All the above photos were taken from the top or second to the top level of the parking garage. (Green ramp if I remember right).

Hope this helps.
