Locations For Planespotters In AZ Or NV

Wed Apr 18, 2001 12:41 am

Hi...

I'll go to AZ, NV and CA next week for 3 weeks vacation. Can anyone recommend some locations for planespotters or aviation enthusiasts? Somewhere I've heard about pinal airpark in manara... any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Tom.

Hi Tom,

I would say you should make a stop at Tucson (AZ). There you can visit the Pima Air & Space Museum with a lot of displayed aircraft. Also very interesting is the airport, where many interesting aircraft are stored.

on the way from Tucson to Phoenix there is Marana (Pinal Air Park), but you can't get access to it. It is said, that this might be a CIA airfield.

Phoenix is also very interesting with very good spots and many interesting traffic (America West in all colour schemes)

Las Vegas is also very interesting. Especially between thursday and sunday you will see many charter airlines.

Hope that helps. A detailed description of Phoenix could be found on my HP (http://www.spotter.de.vu.
