Anyone Willing To Sell A Film/slide Scanner Cheap?

I've finally come to the conclusion that my scanner, a Microtek ScanMaker V310 flatbed, is a piece of junk as far as scanning photos is concerned. It's 300dpi maximum resolution would probably be borderline acceptable, but unusual lines appear whenever I try to scan at this resolution, so I wind up using 200 or 250dpi, which is insufficient for capturing the detail of a print.
However, as a college student I am not in the position to spend a lot of money on things, and at the moment I feel like I've been spending on other things. However, I have a big backlog of images to scan, but I feel that doing so with my current scanner would be a waste of time. I know they won't get accepted here (even rare photos like the arrival of the first BA 777 flight to San Diego -- the first nonstop service between SAN and Europe get rejected). I could still put them up on my own web site but they would be of comparatively poor quality to what is out there on other sites.
Ok enough rambling, let me get to the point of this post...
I'm asking if anyone has a film/slide scanner they're no longer using and are willing to part with for a relatively cheap price. I know others have had good results with some flatbeds, like the Canon 1220U and Agfa e50, but as I would like to start getting into slides I think a dedicated film/slide scanner would be best. I have been following the auctions on eBay and uBid for the past few days, but everything so far has jumped out of my price range before the auction closes.
The scanners that I am most interested in are:
1. Acer ScanWit 2720S or 2740S
2. Minolta Dimage Scan Dual or Dual II
3. Nikon CoolScan (any model except LS-10).
But I'm also willing to consider other options that people have had success with using for Airliners.net. I use a Macintosh, so for any scanner I will need a SCSI or USB interface, and either Mac drivers or works with VueScan. This rules out the HP PhotoSmart S20, which only works with the Windows version of VueScan, not the Mac version.
Currently, I feel that the most I can pay now is US $150, including shipping.
If you have something you think will work for me, please either post to this topic or email me at kawika42@mac.com.
Thanks,
