Brilliant Shot, But Is It Genuine?

Thu Jun 21, 2001 11:38 pm

Hi, In order to avoid the word fake, I chose genuin. I hate accusing a photo of being fake, especially when there is a big chance it isn't.

In this case, I believe that this photo is more or less real. By more or less, I mean it appears to me that something just "isn't right". I can't put my finger on it, but something simply makes this pic too good to be true.

If this picture turns out to be 100% real, I wish to apologize me being suspicious, and compliment on what a fantastic shot this really is.

Hi

Looks real enough to me.

Possibly camera with extra-wide angle lens mounted on wing tip.

If you look up his other shots, he has another one shot from the same position. I'm sure it's real.

The clearness of the air was amazing. Beautiful shots.

Yup, looks real to me too, very good pic.

I saw this pic when it was first uploaded and thought it looked absolutely stunning. I never questioned it until my Brother commented on it looking computer generated. I just can't believe someone took such an unbelievable picture, IncrediblE!

that guy has a bunch of other pics just like it, i cant see why it would be "not genuine"  Big grin

Commenting on the clarity, it appears to be a digital camera, so it seems to me....

just an ops..

Ah ya.. Chris here may have a point.
DAng Digitals.. So genuine... hehe

That cockpit shot I saved it cuz it was a beauty.
But that person has that 1 shot as the only one in the database. I look forward to see more shots from Jaan and Stephen.

Thomas, Maybe if you look at the other photos that go along with the one you are questioning, you will be able to see that it is real:

I think that these gliding pictures are amongst the most impressive shots of recent months - amazing colours and clarity, and obviously shot using a camera with a very wide-angle lens, which results in the curvature of the earth/horizon in the two shots taken from the wingtip.

Great pics and no question about them in my opinion!

Thanks for the response all, and like I stated earlier, if the picture is real, then my warmest compliments to the photographer on these fabulous shots.

I realise that, but in my opening post I said "if", and as I was refering to the first post in my last post, I said "if" again.

I understand that the picture is real. Sorry to cause confusion.
