You can actually see the reflection of the aircraft shadow on the ground on the forward fuselage.

Did you notice that Paul??

Great shots Paul!!

This is currently in the upload queue...it too shows the shadow of the aircraft reflected in the forward fuselage. Another 777 too...odd that.

Until it gets uploaded the shot can be viewed here...

Another nice thing about Paul's pics is that they are perfectly exposed, in spite of the fact that the sun appears to be on the other side of the aircraft.

How did he do that? Is he using a digital camera?

Saw one in the States for $3K (yup - 3,000) - and that's without accessories. There's a rival camera to the S1 - it's Canon's D30 (also same price range).
Geepers. If the trend continues in that people with regular SLR's are competing with digitals it'll be hard to get anything accepted unless you have a really great shot.

Gary,

Thanks for highlighting that shot, now I have got the hang of the camera I can concentrate on taking better shots  Wink/being sarcastic

The shot was taken in program mode with 0.7 over exsposure, the sky was actually much bluer but to give some light to the aircraft you loose that.

It is a very expensive camera but you guys shooting film still have the advantage when it comes to prints and enlargments. I have had a few requests recently from airlines wanting poster size reprints which I have had to turn down. The largest print size that I have found is 10 x 8 so you boys with film have a bigger advantage than me! So take that as a word of warning for anyone who is thinking about making the switch to being just digital like me.

Regards

Paul

Here's my personal favourite of the shots I have uploaded to Airliners, just something about it I like!
