A New Slant With A Digicam

Fri Aug 17, 2001 7:25 pm

Hi all

Came across this link today:

http://www.aricraft.com/stratos.html

Seems like someone has attached a Sony digital camera to a powered glider, toy kind, with some great aerial results.

Not sure if I would do it to mine though  Smile

Very cool especially considering the last 2 aerial shots were taken within about a mile or two of my house!!!!

Nice catch Gary.......in case of capturing a plane taken off or landing with this equipment, would this fall under the air to air shots section? Kind of cool .....

Hi all

Vasco, maybe a new category for Johan to look at?

Air to air, from aircraft, powered toy !!

Another, less expensive and perhaps less risky way to do this is with a large kite - I've seen an number of examples of this on the web, but can't recall any references off hand. The slight catch is that the authorities may object to you flying large kites at the runway threshold! (or flying RC aircraft come to that)

Cheers,

I have some ideas, but won't post them because terrorists might abuse them...
