GKirk, you are wanted, hehe. Big grin

I've been there a few times, and it is a nice place to take pictures.

But I don't have time to go into detail right now, but you can e-mail me and I'll tell you.  Smile

I back up Dan's comments. I haven't taken graphs for a few years but it is hard to imagine NCL being any good other than the occasional take-off shot from the obs. deck when the wind is from the west. Problem with the deck is it gets crowded and you're shooting through glass unless the a/c get sufficient height.

There's not a lot in truth that you can't get elsewhere.

Gill Airways fleet is waiting disposal but it's too far off and they only have a few ATR left.

It's a fair distance south of NCL but I can recommend Leeds. The viewing area is really close to the main runway.

Anyone wanting UK info (not Scot) feel free to email me I get around quite a lot at present, but expect delay as pc broke and I have limited web access.

Rob Rindt - if you read this can I email you? YVR is my mega-favourite place for trips I go there as often as I can afford it!!!

Well, If you're taking pics at NCL, the best is to take 'em on final approach. There is a road crossing the flight path on both sides on the rwy. Ground movement is rather tricky to capture on film.

Just a reminder, if you'd like detailed advice simply e-mail me.  Smile

I would agree with Thom@s, the best results are probably at either end of the runway, for approach shots. When I go to NCL that's where I spend the majority of my time.
Rather than me explaining how to get to these points, click on the link below for detailed directions.
(If you're interested in NCL and you get a chance, have a look around the site as a whole as I'm sure you'll find it interesting - it's a really good, informative site with regular updates.)

Hope this helps you, and as a newcomer, hope you're enjoying airliners.net.

(P.S. I'm sure NCL is better than Bristol !!!!  Laugh out loud he he)
