Sun Nov 04, 2001 2:10 am

Does anyone know any good spotting places at Chicago Midway? I want to know cause I might go there and take pictures one day and I want to know the good places to take them.

I went there today and I was near this intersection and I was in front of Runways 31-L 31-R and 31-C in front of the gate and I saw a lot of aircraft(I wish I had my camera cause I didn't when I went down there). It was cool! I saw Three Southwest Airlines Boeing 737s A cessna Citation jet, A Chicago Express Saab 340, A ATA Boeing 737-800, a Continental Express ERJ-145,and a American Airlines Fokker F100. Mabye when I get some film I will take some pictures and try to upload them too. When I go back there I hope I get to see some more planes than those. I really wana see a Boeing 757-300 and 717-200 too. And a Airbus too.

For MDW you just follow where the planes are going and go to that intersection to spot. For instance, if there are arrivals Rwy 31 go the corner of Cicero and 63rd. For 31 departures or 13 arrivals (pretty rare that they come in on 13) go to Central and 55th. For 4R arrivals/22L departures, go to Central and 63rd. For 22L arrivals, Cicero and 55th will do. MDW is probably one of the easiest airports to get around, it's just a square mile.

Yeah I went to 63rd and Cicero and I saw a lot of planes too. I might go over there when the weather gets really nice.
