Fri Nov 09, 2001 9:38 pm

Hi,

I am just wondering how many BA 777 that still flies in the old livery? Does anyone know when the last one will be repainted? I hope there will be some left until next summer at least.

Check this out, it looks absolutly amazing! Great shot Colin!

Rule # 1.
If you haven't shot it, it will be repainted.
If you have, it will be around for years.

Looks as though there are around 10 still in the Landor livery.

Have a look at the BA Aviation website: http://www.avnclub.demon.co.uk Click on fleet summary and it shows which aircraft are in which livery.

Cheers

Thanks Alex - I think the 777 looks best in the old colours, though now I'm trying to get as many of the "world colours" (or "pretty tails" as they're called in my family  Smile ) before they all go as well.

Cheers,

Colin

Thanks a lot for all your answers.
I sure have to go to London next summer to catch them before it's too late!

Jan, you're probably right ; )

Jan is definitely right. If your airport gets only a few BA flights a day (for example, BOS with one or two a day), it's bound to be a Union Jack tail or old colors. Though, it's getting interesting to shoot the Landor scheme now that it's going away as well. But the Utopia Image tail has shown up for me only two or three times for me at BOS, twice at TLS (Toulouse). Haha.
