When i am at school, walking home, delivering papers or going somewhere, i am forever looking at the sky, and the welsh hills at the weather. The last couple of days have been crisp and clear, the Welsh hills stand out and look like they could be just a couple of miles away. This makes me want to photograph aircraft so badly, it just makes the perfect picture.
Also, i see so many aircraft flying over, some of them just need to be photographed, quite often if there is an A300 approaching FZO or something is flying out of BRS this way i would be able to photograph them with a decent lens, in the sunset i see aircraft leaving into the sunset, i want to photograph them too.
Sometimes, on a busy day you will see 5 or 6 aircraft travelling from AMS/LHR/LGW to the USA, and they will fly across in steps, its quite hard to explain but each aircraft is flying a degree south of each other, so it looks like they are making a huge curve, but the aircraft fly straight, on a good weather day the vapour trails will cross each other and it just looks so great.
It makes me really realize how much i love this hobby, and how much we waste of the goodweather here, i would've done anything to get out to the airport on the last few days, i hope that Jason or Paul or Chris have been, because the pictures will be excellent (aren't they always?).
Does anybody else do this?
