Hi,

The northwest picture looks way too smooth to me. The registration has been blurred out and many lines, especially the wing and the black line near the nose have become jaggged. When you edit a picture, try not to use so much SmartBlur... sharpening may help, but a rescan might be the best solution.

With the Canadian, it looks off-center and the white almost looks too bright compared to the rest of the picture. I think it could get on with some cropping and maybe a little less brightness/more contrast. Why was it rejected?

The Norhtwest was rejected for not being centered and not being visible.

The Canadian was rejected for too high contrast. Thanks!!

Smart blur...it's the worst feature in photoshop/delux. It can ruin some good shots...

The Canadian is too bright... And the NorthWest has heat-haze. The heat from the tarmac or something else in the foreground blurred your picture. It's a pain in the ass for any photographer...

Canadian B737:
In my opinion, the aircraft itself is too small. It shoud fill the frame better. And (that might be a personal thought) the US Airways A321 is disturbing a little bit. Besides that, I also think, that the picture is a bit overexposed (look at the fuselage, for example).

NW B757:

Off center and ban this smooting feature! If the scan doesn't look godd, forget about and try the next.

Hope it helps

The fact that the 737 is overexposed could have something to do with the light meter in your camera. See my light meter topic in this forum.

Also try using the unsharp mask tool instead of smart blur to bring out the detail in your shots. Set it to 1.0 Radius, 120-140 strength and 10-13 clipping.
