Sony F707 Pictures

Sat Dec 08, 2001 7:58 pm

Guys I have had lots of people ask me to send them pictures from my Sony F707.

Well here you go have a look at the below link for the type of quality you could expect from the F707

http://public.fotki.com/cabbott/edinburgh_scotland/

Also have a look at the Artistic B747 shot from LAX and tell me what you think. It was rejected by the team.

Colin,
The artistic shot was rejected for horizon not being level  Smile

Seriously, maybe they rejected it from a thumbnail view, which looks like a really bad shot taken through a fence! You can only appreciate the shot when you view it full size. I like it.

Regards,
Craig.

Nice shots Colin! Nice shot, but the question I have to ask when looking at that is...why?  Wink/being sarcastic Sh*t man, just turn around and take the picture! Seriously, though, it is a cool shot, though probably just a little too abstract for this site.

About the 707 - I'm a few weeks away from picking one up, but I have a big question for you (now that you've had time to play with it). What are it's weaknesses? Come on...no camera is perfect!! I already know what it does well, so if you could just give us your Sony F909 'wish list' I'd very much appreciate it...

Colin, you deserve a nice price from Sony. You did a wonderful publicity and I have to admit, that either I hide my Mastercard, or I'll get a Sony F707 within the next few weeks. I have been thinking around since a few weeks.

Where's the difference to the Canon EOS D30, BTW? The Canon was my first choice, but the price difference to the SOny F707 is simply too big. I can't think of any reason, why to pay more for the Canon D30.

Cause the D30 is a SLR with interchangeable lenses. So if yu have Canon lenses, you could continue to use them

What is the biggest telezoom (optical-digital) you can use on the Sony F707?

Optical=5X, -TCON-14B or B-300 teleconverter does you good here!
Digital=10X,- Since i am in the process of getting a converter for my F707, I am using Digital Zoom to extend my zoom. It is a little grainier but not too much. I haven't had many problems with it, the pics still look good, but when i get my converter i will be back to optical.

How much does a teleconvertor add to the "normal" optical zoom? What lense - in terms of mm - would that be for an "analog" photog Smile/happy/getting dizzy?

Thanks in advance
