Sat Feb 09, 2002 10:30 pm

Do any of you use Camcorders for recording aviation and what is the quality like for still shots taken with a digital camcorder? Thank you, StL/Tom

Camcorders are great for videoing aircraft, its alot of fun and on a good day with some good footage you can make a nice video to watch when you are bored, and with the digital Sony camcorders (I know you can do it with others...), keep it on your PC, although it'll be vvveeeeeeeryyyy big.

Digital stills, yuck, I think the size is usually 320x240, and the quality is pretty darned aweful(sp?), i'd just stay a way from the whole side of that (at least in my experiences).

The stillshots of my JVC digicam are only 800x640, by now too small for a.net.
