The screeners / Johan will let you know in a few days / weeks. Looks blurry to me. There are some marks under the aircraft to the left. And they're some grain near the tail. The low light is nice, though.

Well... It got rejected.
I know, It's not made with a $$$$ digi-cam, and not the greatest scanner, but I think the shot is OK for airliners.net standards. But no... Unfortunately not...

Thanks...

But it's still in the upload queue, not in the rejected 'pile'???

I agree, it's a little blurry and too contrasty, there is also too much noise in the shadow areas.

Some questions are coming to my mind:
1.) If it was rejected what was the reason
2.) If it was rejected why is it still in the addphotos big directory
3.) have you done any changes on the picture before reuploading it. I think it is reuploaded again because of being in the addphotos directory.

Ok, Peter, you are right. My mistake....It is not yet rejected, it's 'brother picture' (the same but cropped tighter) was. However there are no more pictures of me in the uploading queue... So where this one went, I don't know...
My other 9V-SVD picture (that I thought was actually better, but this comment will also aplly for this picture) had this comment:

The image quality of this photo is low. This may be the result of several
perceived problems happening simultaneously, such as grain, blur, lighting,
contrast or color defects, which would lead us to believe that a fresh scan
would be necessary, rather than a simple adjustment to the uploaded file.

My mistake if I said it was rejected. Sorry...
I'm now curious what'll happen to this one...
Thanks guys..  Smile

I don't think its blurry (well, I've seen ones with more visible blur than that accepted recently Big grin), but the colour is a bit 'dull', and there is visible noise on the tail and sky.

Wait and see what'll happen to it, must have about 50-50, 40-60 chance of getting accepted.

This is the one that got rejected... (cropped tighter, I think I mistakenly uploaded the other pic aswell, I wouldn't upload 2 pictures that are basically the same...)

What comes to my mind is the blue on the background, it looks sort of "fake" to me, as if it doesn't belong to the picture. The lighting on the aircraft adds to this feeling. Did you crank up the saturation of the sky?

If it is the original background, then it was pretty exceptional lighting.

The a/c itself is pretty sharp to my eyes, maybe it will be accepted. I sure hope for you it will!

Good Luck,

According to me you should try to get rid of the following things:

- the dark spot in the lower left corner
- it appears to me that there is a fingerprint left of the tail. Try to get rid of it as well...(clone brush tool?).

The belly of the plane needs to be a little lighter too.

But it's a great shot. Iwish these came here.
