Be Creative Pls

Fri Feb 15, 2002 2:35 am

I'm not a photographer but I like the more unconvention photos you folks make the best.

Details, lots of people around the aircraft, unexpected angles etc. are better then the nose to tail in a blue sky ones.

Examples of my home carrier :

Problem is, that many "creative shots" do have a high chance to be rejected. Tastes are very different. But I agree, it needs more to take a pic, like the first one shown in this topic, than a pic of a taxiing aircraft.

I like these kind of pictures, too. But Gerardo already said, it is not very easy to get them accepted.

Killer-question: what is creativity? Or: Are you creative? (the last question is not personal, ot goes for all readers)

I tried to shoot a 'faster than a speeding bullet' shot, it was great! Slowish shutterspeed (it was brilliant sunlight) and just the tail leaving the frame, it was pretty hilarious but it got rejected.

Oh well  Sad  Big grin.

I don't think I have been that creative so far, although since i've only been at the airport for 1 hour and thats it. Before then everything sucked caus the weather was poor.

Creativity

Sat Feb 16, 2002 2:41 am

Creativity is imaginative power, invention, testing new things you've never tried. You are creative when you're not shooting the same kind of motive day after day, year after year. Ingenuity...
If people like it or not has nothing to do with creativity in itself, even though a "creative" (a shot part from the mass) shot here on A.net often are popular - or not. Some people like it some not, the point is that you train your "creative" sense and not only shoot at routine - broaden your mind!

Sorry for being a little arrogant with this plug in but just to show an example of what I think it's creativity.

Incredible creative photo (lol)

Hey Luis, the Komatsu Digger is unsharp  Smile.

I remember Peter Unmuth took a picture where he used the camera holes in the fences at VIE(?) to frame an aircraft taxying.

Come to think of it, might have been ZRH, did that get accepted? I remember it got rejected first time around.
