What Film Do You Use, And How Much Does It Cost?

Sun Feb 24, 2002 8:56 pm

Films seem to vary in price quite a bit in different countries. What film do you use and what's the price like? Do you buy in bulk?

I use Fujicolor film. I have some reala 100 I have yet to use and it cost $5.99 a roll. Usually when I go someplace I'll usually buy the 36 exposure but the 24 is cheaper though. It costs like $7.00 or more to develop the pictures. I usually go to Walgreens and do them there, they do a nice job and it's cheaper than the others.

I have been using Kodakchrome 25 and 64 ASA since 1977. Only 64 ASA is available now. The cost is about $16.00 CAD a roll (36) including processing plus taxes.

I also use Fuji Sensia II 100 ASA (36), cost $7.49 CAD plus $7.50 for processing plus taxes.

For prints I used Kodak Royal Gold 200 ASA and Fuji Superia 200 ASA (24), cost including processing is similar about $12.00 plus taxes.

Cheers,

Pierre

I use Fuji Provia 100. It's a slide film, which gives superb results with intense colors and almost no grain.

Mainly Sensia 100. About €3.50 + processing (which is another €6 or so here).
For prints, Fuji NPH400, which costs slightly more at about €8 + €20 processing
