Thu Feb 28, 2002 11:29 pm

Something that's reasonablly priced, smallish and not too heavy? Of course, image quality is important! Thanks

A zoom going from wide angle to tele isn't going to perform very well. (Unless VERY expensive)

there are none.
Several brands produce hyperzooms ans superzooms. Price is reasonable, size is small and lightweight, image quality is usually poor.

My reservation was for the EF 35-350 L which I hear is pretty good but never tried.

Hi there,

Here is Alan from Hong Kong.
Rrgarding on your inquiry, here is my information for you:
Tamron 28-200mm 3.5-5.6--around HK$1,700
Tamron 28-200mm 3.8-5.6 XR (compact)--around HK$1,900
Sigma 28-200mm 3.5-5.6--around HK$1,600

These are all I suggest to you.
Highlight on the Tamron 28-200 XR one.
It is very compact and smart.
The filter size just 62mm.
And seem it's resolution doesn't lost so much on the minimized size.
