Hey,

I have the Olympus C2100.
Cheap for a digicam with a 380mm zoom (€650) and I am very happy with it. But the C2100 is very difficult to find. You will have to hurry. The follower of the C2100 is the C700, but not so good because it doesn't have a stabilizer.

Regards,
Frederic

Hey,

Hard to find!! Certainly not with a 380mm zoom.

You can always buy a cheaper camera, but if you want to make good shots, a 100mm zoom is a bit too small I think.

If you have limited funds you may be better off looking at the lower-end SLR market... You should be able to pick up a Canon EOS 500 for around €200-250...

Of course the main problem with this is you have to pay to develop your film.

As a low-end digital camera the Canon Powershot A20 or the Fuji Finepix 2600 produce good results with a 108mm equivalent zoom. Obviously you have to be that much closer to your target though.

I can second what Sdjminton said. This is the simple fact that those pics for examples are mine  Smile. I woudl suggest if you have £250 (Not a clue when it comes to converting to Euro's) that you invest in a low range digital camera. My camera which took those pictures was a Fuji Finepix 2600...still is. I find the camera VERY good when it comes to value for money.

The camera itself is brilliant for carrying around airports because it can stay in your coat pocket so no one can steal it off of your shoulder our steal your bag with it in. The camera is light, and the image quality is amazing. To say it is only 2.0 million pixels I have had people comment that the pictures are even more than their 3.2 million pixels digital camera (Fuji Finepix 4600 or something). Combined with a good piece of image enhancing software your Digital Camera will be lethal!

What else can I say.....its one of my best companions to an airport!!!

Yours Sincerely,
Jason Nicholls
