Help On Rejected Picture

Fri Mar 15, 2002 12:25 am

Hi!
Just got a rejection message because of "image quality", and i have to say i dont know how to improve those
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/rejphoto.main?filename=026_swiss_a319_112_hb_ipu.JPG
http://www.airliners.net/procphotos/rejphoto.main?filename=027_swiss_a319_112_hb_ipu.JPG
And this one is for your amusement. It was rejected also but not because of "Part of aircraft missing". It was the "esthetics". Anyway I thought you migh wanna see it.

I thought it might add some fun to the Database (especially for the male onlokker which I assume is the majority on here). But anyway deep inside myself i was pretty sure that it wont get through.
Any comments on the first two would be highly appreciated and have fun on the 3rd.

Peter,

The first one might need an extra punch in sharpness,

The second pretty much startles me, I had a similar rejection based upon esthetics:

So I will ask the same question: What is esthetically wrong with Peter's 2nd and mine?

Regards
Wietse

Remember my Swiss rejection reason was not estethics but low Quality!  Confused
Esthetic was the reason on the Tyrolean. (I think the overall esthetic of the pciture and not her estetics Big grin )

Hmmm. They look perhaps a bit the wrong side of sharp to me. Perhaps a bit of extra USM would do it. I think it's a bit harsh. Perhaps you were caught in the same rejecton blizzard that led to this one of mine being rejected

A lot of new photos are being added today, who's handling them, Johan or the screeners?
I'm confused again, 16 of my photos passed the first screening this morning, but I would have thought more photos are added directly nowadays.

Peter, on your photos, as Wietse suggested, sharpness on the first one, and overall, they probably didn't treat them as favourably because of the low sun.

Peter,

The first shot looks a little soft especially around the gear area a little bit of USM should do the trick. The second shot again is a little soft not helped by the lighting but both nice shots.

Jason what was yours rejected for??

Sorry,

The old chestnut - "Part of the aircraft is not visible" to which we all reply "I know, I shot it like that!"  Smile

Dunno what wrong is with that Tyrolean: good aircraft and good woman, what do you want more?  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

About those Swiss pictures: I really don't know what the problem is with it...

I think that the third photo isn't that aviation related, plus you cannot add a photo without the written permission of the specific FA as far as I know.

Lewis - As far as I know, you don't need any permission. I had a picture accepted with many (some visible) people in it, and was given a (stupid) warning saying something like: 'Airliners.net needs permission to show people in photos, and photographs like these would normally get rejected, but you do not need permission for this type of shot!!', I mean, wtF!

I agree that they need a little bit of USM, apart from that they are fine, especially the third  Big grin  Big grin  Big grin

These screeners are really going crazy here. They're even rejecting great digital images. Just because there's no sun?
