Epson Inkjet Printers

Mon Mar 18, 2002 5:38 am

Does anybody have any recommendations on the current range of Epson Printers eg Model number etc. I have an Epson 800 at the moment which I have been very pleased with but is due for replacement as it has been rather heavily used over the last four years.

Thanks for any help

I just bought a Stylus photo 810....

i am very happy with the results.. having used a 660 epson then a canon 6000 , the 810 has exceeded the quality i expected, the results for the price are stunning..
the print quality is up to 2440dpi

it was around £100 . Hope that helps ( stick with Epson is my advice..)

Currently using the 890 (same quality as 895 and 1290). As far as I'm concerned until very recently they produced the best ink jet output available IF used with Epson Inks and Premium paper. However, I'm extremely impressed with the output I've seen from the new Canon 900/9000 printers - I think it's just that bit better.

BUT I believe Epson will soon be releasing a new range of printers (may already have been announced in Japan) with new inks including a special "photo black" and a sort of grey ink in addition to the extra photo colours.

I was thinking of moving to the Canon, but now I'm going to wait a few months and see what develops at Epson.

Cheers,
