Coolpix 885 - Red Saturation Problem

Fri Apr 19, 2002 3:12 am

I recently purchased the Nikon Coolpix 885. Apparently all of these cameras have a problem wherein any incidents of the color red are over saturated. I checked the Nikon web site which says they are aware of the problem yet no solution was indicated.

Does anyone know if there is a manual setting I could adjust to remedy this? It is really quite noticeable - so much that a pic I took of a NW DC-10 looked downright bizarre with how the red color blazed away.

Take the camera back to the shop and ask for a refund. Then buy a different camera. There is obviously grounds to do so since Nikon are admitting a fault on their website. You paid good money for this, so demand a fix or a refund!!!
