Be sure to visit the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum at Reading. They have a Martin 404 painted in Eastern Airlines colors, and a Viscount 700 in Capital livery. At one point both of these aircraft were operable, but I don't know their current status. In addition, they also have a Convair 580, which is supposed to be repainted to Allegheny Airlines, and an R4D (DC-3) restored as a U.S. Navy transport, as well as other military and general aviation aircraft. The Musuem is on the east side of the airfield, opposite the terminal.

I grew up around Reading, PA (Kutztown actually – ever heard of it?). Reading airport used to have a decent airshow but I have not been to it for years.

From what I remember there was not a whole lot to shoot there. The MAAM is worth a visit. In addition to what George mentioned, they used to have a P2V and they were working on recovering a P-61 Black Widow from a jungle.

Let us know what you see!

Sunil

PS. Kutztown has a little airport too! You’ll see lot’s of cool stuff like Cessnas, Pipers and gliders  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

Great! I will see what I can find, hopefully the weather is good when I get out there.

I would still like to know what regional airlines fly into reading and Lancaster.

Also, any of you know some other little airports to spot at around that area?

I can't help you with the regional airlines, but I can guess that it's mostly going to be the smaller carriers like United Express, American Eagle, etc. Make a quick scan of the arrivals at Reading on flightarrivals.com and see what you see  Smile/happy/getting dizzy

The only other airport that may be of some interest is ABE in Allentown (about a 45 minute drive on some of PA's finest roads). I know that PanAm flies into ABE. There is another field south of ABE that has warbirds and private stuff but I can't think of the name or tell you how to get there (useless eh?).

If you don't mind the drive, PHL is about two hours (maybe less) from Reading.

Checking OAG and SkyGuide....I see 7 flights or so. BE-1900s and even 1 Dash-8 flight... Wow!
