It's a very nice shot, but as Justin said, the titles are a bit oversharpened.

Without sounding very repetitive! Yes, beautiful, but oversharpened.

Just to make it even better, can you crop it so its centred?

Yevgeny, If you would really like to get it accepted, but not have too much work on it, simply resize the shot you uploaded to 1024 wide. That way the oversharpening dissapears and it looks stunning. If you are set on having it at 1600, you should take the original jpeg and sharpen it less than it is now.

Is it just my computer? That picture looks like an oil painting. It looks like a good painting though.  Big thumbs up

Hey Yevgeny and Wietse, I just sent the link to the picture to a friend of mine, who confirmed that it is indeed an oil painting. I dont know what you were trying, but maybe I should try to get some of my drawings on here. They are better than my photographs  Wink/being sarcastic

Perhaps we are having a misunderstanding about what you call an oilpainting. Do you see different gradations in the sky? if so, you are not running your pc at 32 bit colors.

The fusalage, well, doesnt look like an oilpainting to me, just oversharpened.....

I am only joking about it being a painting, but that is how it looks on mine. The different shades of blue in the sky and shades of grey in the shadows are all separated by lines, like brush strokes, instead of being smooth. It could be exagerrated a lot more on my computer, I dont know much about my settings. But like I said it is a nice picture/painting, whatever.  Smile

I know you were kidding about the painting, but I was trying to help you see it better. The problem in your case lies in your monitor settings... if you set it to 32 bit colors, it would be much better.

Hi all

Yes, oversharpened just a tad.
Look at the registration. possibly heat haze has got a little to do with it.

A nice image but maybe too far away for a perfect image.

Yevgeny,
I think it's a perfect shot at least, but as you know Gary always think he shoots the best ones......no more comments about that now : )

Perfect shot even though it's a little bit oversharpened but that isn't caused by you as photographer.....I would guess the photo editing-program, right!?

Yes you can, the Canon L lenses are supposed to give very sharp results, maybe they are too sharp  Wink/being sarcastic

Seriously, don't the digicams have features that sharpens the image when you take it?

EGGD,
I didn't say you can oversharpen a photo when taking it....I didn't mean it at least.
I can explain what I mean better if I write in swedish.
I guess you won't understand though.... : )
