I have used a Fuji 4900 that was a great camera, so the 6900 must be better.

Do a search under my name and you will see the results only the BA 757 was not taken by this camera.

I have used the 6900 for the past 9 months. Nice little camera that will give you good results. (Almost all of my photos here were shot with it.)

The down sides to the camera are:

zoom is slow. It works well, but it takes getting used to. Can be frustrating when shooting moving stuff, ie...airplanes.

Sucks up battery power and the batteries are NP-80's, not something you can just grab at the local drug store. I have 3 and that will last me for about 150 to 200 shots.

I had the teleconvertor. Waste of money in my opinion. It locks you at the extreme end of the zoom and takes away your versatility.

But overall it is a great camera that I am happy with. Drop an email if you want any other info (zeljeznjak1@cox.net)

I too own the Fuji Finepix 6900Z.

I think it is a very good little camera, like Tony said it can be a little frustrating when shooting fast moving objects as the zoom and autofocus are no way near as good as my slr.

For the price (£600 GBP) you do get great quality shots. These are just a few I have shot recently.

I had a 4900 which is the older model of the 6900. Hopefully they improved the 6900. I missed many planes waiting for it to focus even without a zoom. The zoom is also very slow. I gave it up for a Fuji Finepix 6800 which I love!
