Need Help With Scanner Settings

Thu Jun 27, 2002 2:13 am

Hi everyone,

I just bought an Epson Perfection 2450 PHOTO scanner yesterday. The scanner package contains Adobe Photoshop Elements. I have tried scanning a few of my 4x6 prints but for the most part, the image on the computer screen is grainy. Is this a typical result of scanning color prints?

My next question is, what settings do you recommend I use to scan my prints (or negatives)? Should I choose the highest resolution? Then, what are some steps I can take in Photoshop (or another program) to eliminate or reduce those little grains?

I'm new to this, and I would greatly appreciate any help I can receive.  Smile

Thank you,

Nevermind, I returned the scanner. I will probably be looking for a film scanner in the not too distant future.

Thanks anyway!
