CDG Transfer Photo Opportunities

Fri Jun 28, 2002 11:07 pm

Hi,

I will be transferring through Paris CDG Terminal 2B on 20th July and have 4-5 hours to kill (11am-4pm).

Is there anywhere near the terminals (walking distance) where I can get any photo opportunities? Where do spotters mostly go? I gather there are none from inside the terminal.....?

I checked the links covered by recent posts on photography at CDG, but none give directions for a first time visitor  Smile

Thanks for the help,

Paul

I found the windows in 2C to be quite dirty when I transferred from 2D to 2C three weeks ago. I highly doubt the situation would be better in 2B.

I'm not a local spotter, but I think the spot near the central taxiway would be an option - get on the shuttle bus to T9/Roissypole and walk over. Only problem is that in the afternoon, you should be on the other (western) side where the Sofitel is. This spot is then about 10-15 minutes walking distance from T1. So the whole transfer would be 30 minutes each direction.

Many thanks

Hi again,

I've found some maps off the Kerozen site, and can see the central taxiway spot to the west of T1. I will try that as it's not too far......will anyone be at this spot on 20th July  Confused
