Advice On A Rejection Please.

Sun Jul 07, 2002 5:47 am

Amongst a whole bunch of rejections (which have been genuinely educational for this newbie), I've just had this one knocked back for that old chestnut of not being level.
As reference, I took both the verticals and horizontals of the building and rotated the photograph to them. After receiving the rejection, I rotated it so that the plane was level but (you guessed it) the building looks like it's built at the craziest of angles. The ground at the airfield does indeed slope like that.
I know the quality of this picture isn't cutting edge; should I just forget about this one?

Thanks,
Jon.

You did manage to get the most difficult situation on a pic to get it accepted here.  Big thumbs up You cannot win here. Either the building is unlevel, or the ground is. The only thing you can do is put a remark like this in the remarks field of your photo:

NOTE TO SCREENERS: this is level, look at the building.

They will remove that upon acceptation, and they can keep it in mind. Worked for me once.

Good luck,

Yes putting a remark in would be a good idea in this case. But what is that blue thing on the left border peeking into the picture???

Gentlemen, thanks for the advice.

"peeking"?? Wouldn't "intruding" be more apt?  Smile
It's a wing.

Damn! This isn't easy, is it? But it is good fun.
I've now got 23 photographs in the database (that's around a 75% success rate) but I can see that there's a LOT to learn in this game.

This one was rejected for being unsharp.

This one for poor quality.

I guess the screeners are telling me that this particular photograph is beyond redemption. I'll re-visit the airfield and try to get a better shot....
