What Am I Doing Wrong

Thu Jul 18, 2002 11:32 am

Hi,

I've been taking pictures for a while but my pictures are still bad quality. So I went out
and bought all new camera equipment, Canon 7E, with Canon 75-300mm and 35-90mm
USM lens. But when I used my new camera there still was not a difference in quality. I've
tried everything, different ISO, different lens...Etc, but still my pictures come out bad.
One thing that I have not tried are filters. Can anyone help me out.
Thanks

Here is a random photo of mine

ISO200

Thanks

This picture is HORRIBLE!

Of course just kidding: What's wrong with the picture? What's your point? Explain a little more why you think that your pictures are "bad".

Well, all of my photos have been rejected. Is there anything that i'm doing wrong with the camera?
I just think the picture(s) are bad because all of my photos have been rejected because of the image quality of the photo.

Are you sure it's not the scanner?

My scanner is not the best. The max is 2400. I don't think it is the scanner because even on the print its like that. Thanks

Are you getting it developed in some kind of Supermarket or a grocer like Walmart or K-mart? Because that will affect your picture quality. Also, what kind of 200ASA film was this? You gotta stick with Kodak or Fuji. last, but not least, 200 is a bit high, better switch to 100 or lower - better grain and balance. For print film I can highly recommend Fuji Superia Reala 100 or Kodak Supra, very nice prints. And get them developed at a photo hobbyshop, a small one with a good Professional Processing lab.

Good luck,
