Is It Possible To Visit BA 777 Cockpit?

Sun Aug 11, 2002 12:16 pm

Hi all, I am new to this forum.

I am going to take a long haul flight from LHR to Beijing with BA, just wonder if it is possible to take several photos in the 777-236ER's cockpit?

Cheers

Sure, if you can click a shutter button and you're allowed up to the cockpit. The latter may be a subject of debate, but I'm guessing that UK restrictions are more lenient than their US counterparts. Hell, the entire plane was invited up to the cockpit on a recent EWR-DEN flight of mine, so it's really up to luck. The captain calls the shots...

BA policy is no casual visitors in flight now

Aer Lingus used to be really obliging. You used to be pretty much assured a visit. Now its a no no. Usually the FA's dont even bother asking the captain anymore, they make the decisions themselves now. Its a shame but you can't blame them. I mean if I was a captain right now I dont think I'd be too keen on letting anyone sit up front with me.

What About After Landing?

Mon Aug 12, 2002 1:42 am

So, what about after landing? Can I stay in the aircraft and ask for a vist after all passengers are left from the jet?
Please excuse my poor English.

Try after landing, I've even had good experiences with AA (shocking!)
