Depends on the weather - if it's good I'll be out at Purolator on Sat/Sun, but lately I've been doing a lot of afternoon cross-country flying, so I'll probably won't be around in the later part of the day. Fairmont isn't the best spot, try the Avis lot at the end of the North Service Rd.  Smile

YVR is such a cool place for photography. I also met some great ppl while I was there. Highlights were an EAL 747 classic, a JetGo MD-80, a JMC Airbus, and several Air Canada A321s.

Here is a sample picture from my hotel room:

85mm shot, I was on the 14th floor, which is the top. The hotel is the Fairmont Vancouver Airport, I highly recommend it  Smile

I got a question which doesnt really relate to spotting at YVR.
When you were staying at the Fairmont hotel, how much was it to stay per night? I assume that if you were staying at a lower floor AND facing a different area, it would of been cheaper?

Bo, it is quite a deal. I stay with what they call their "Entre Gold" package, which is a top floor room with a private lounge and seperate check in/ckeck out. The price was like $240 canadian a night, which is dirt cheap for a 4 star hotel.

Clickhappy- I was flying home from YVR on August 28th.

Did you happen to catch Northwest 1792 to Detriot? We left around 1230pm...

That would be so cool if you did!

(I was flying home after a great vacation in Alaska onboard the Carnival Spirit.. did you see the boat? Its HUGE!)

That is a pretty good deal Clickhappy. 240 dollars.
Thanks, I could consider staying at that place if I go to YVR someday.  Smile/happy/getting dizzy
Its just the view from there must be irresistable!

If I wasn't busy with flying, I would've been out there - you guys just have to be more precise as to when you're arriving, as I'd be more than happy to show ya around.
